Listen to MonacoInfo coverage of the MonacoAVC Stroke Awareness Event
Stroke is a growing public-health challenge, and Monaco’s stroke support organisation (SSO) MonacoAVC association is stepping up with a clear mission: Inform the public about to recognize a stroke with the “F.A.S.T.” warning signs (Face drooping, Arm or leg weakness, Speech difficulty, Time to call 112), as for stroke treatments in an acute phase, every minutes counts!
Any sudden and brutal neurological deficit can be a sign of a stroke, and patients benefit from rapid treatment in the stroke unit CHU in Nice.
MonacoAVC advocates to improve prevention and rehabilitation for survivors to regain independence. Supported by the Government’s Health Department and hosted by the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, the association brought together doctors, therapists and patients to further inform about strokes.
