A New Cross-Border Initiative to Prevent Stroke

A new French-Italian stroke prevention program, PREVE.DI, has been launched at Menton Hospital to improve early detection and reduce the risk of stroke. Open to adults aged 30 and over, the program offers a comprehensive screening that includes a neurological consultation, blood tests, cognitive assessment, questionnaires, and MRI- all completed in a single day.

Funded through a €2 million partnership between France and Italy, the initiative aims to make prevention more accessible while combining the strengths of both healthcare systems. As stroke remains one of the leading causes of disability, dementia, and death, programs like PréviDI represent an important step toward earlier diagnosis and better patient outcomes.
